Spanglish Roast

Spanglish Roast Sundays is starting again on the 28th of April. For those who didn't get to attend last year, we serve an English roast, with a Spanish slant from 12pm every Sunday.

Here is what's coming up..:
Week 1 - Roast beef & Yorkshire pudding
Week 2 - Roast Pork & apple sauce
Week 3 - Roast chicken w sobrasada stuffing
Week 4 - Roast lamb w mint & chorizo gravy

Mullangria!

Mullangria is back. Mainly because it's getting cold, and this is the perfect thing to warm you up. It's kind of like a mulled wine (served warm) but with a Spanish (Sangria) twist. Nevermind the details though, it's delicious. Also, if you bring your own mug, it's $5.

New Wine List

There's a new menu on the way, so we need a new wine list. Bit more of a homage to the continent (Europe) this time, but we've still got all the favourites on there. As we move into winter the focus is more on the reds, with a couple of older vintage wines added to the list. We're also going to run monthly specials so there will always be something new to try.

Breakfast Booze

Everyone knows we do breakfast on the weekend… But people seem to forget we also sell booze at breakfast time. As in, you can smash a bloody mary at 9am this Saturday. Good times.

We obviously sell fresh juices, coffee and all that other boring stuff but why not wrap your laughing gear around one of these..:
- Bacon Caesar (bacon infused vodka, clamato, spice mix and more…) - Up And At Em (dark rum, white rum, creme de peche and fresh grapefruit)
- La Spritz (fresh apple, mint, fennel, vodka and sparkling)

Breakfast of champions!!

ANZAC Day

This Thursday, the 25th, to commemorate Anzac Day, we are open for breakfast. We've got a couple of Anzac Day specials, plus we'll be serving our regular breakfast menu. Breakfast is served from 9am till 12pm, and we'll be serving drinks from 9am too. Come down and remember.

$3 Pintxos Night

Every Tuesday, from 6pm, we put $3 morsels of food on a board that you can pick up and put in your mouth. The food... Not the board. We call it Pintxos Tuesdays. The menu changes every week so you can always try something new, it's like a miniature Spanish tasting menu. 6pm till 10pm every Tuesday.

THE APARTMENT

Aaahhhhh the 70s. Loose parties, loose men, loose women and loose decor. The Apartment, or El Apartmento as I like to call it, on level one of The Carrington in Surry Hills, is the 70s incarnated... But in an apartment in Barcelona. Tiles, wood veneer, capsicum coloured walls, a picture of the late Diana and her ex-husband... Its got it all. When you walk in, throw your keys in the bowl and we'll take care of the rest. The Apartment is the pub's old managers quarters. You can take a bar seat in the kitchen, which doubles as the bar, or take a spot in the dining room, which fits 30 people seated.

It's available for private bookings (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and large groups. It is also Open every friday and saturday night, and you can make bookings. A full menu and a banquet menu is available... Or just hang out in the kitchen for a drink! Check out some images on Facebook..:http://www.facebook.com/thecarrington

BREAKFAST

It's the most important meal of the day, and now you can eat it at The Carrington… With booze! Join us from 9am till 1pm every Saturday and Sunday, starting this weekend, for our take on breakfast. Expect an authentic Spanglish take on all things food and drink and like an Englishman waking up in Ibiza, there are plenty of familiar dishes on the menu too.View the menus, along with some more detail, below…

FOOD

As mentioned above, in addition to a few Spanish specialties, we've taken some traditional breakfast items, and given them a twist. The Morcilla & Potato Hash, the Media Noche (our take on a toasted cheese sandwich) and our Empanada Rancheros are all worth getting up in the morning for… And for those who like something a bit lighter, the Ibiza Muesli or Rainbow Gachas are a must. Get here fast and then take it slow!

DRINKS

.
The drinks menu has been crafted to benefit both those who believe the "hair of the dog" is the only solution, and those looking for something a little softer. Booze, juices, horchata, shakes and coffees (spanish and non) are all on the go.
